Our Staff

 

Mrs. Hanson-Baisley will be teaching at Shared Journeys in the morning and working with GED#2 at Dottke in the afternoon.  She will be responsible for the enrollment and scheduling of students.  She will also be coordinating the Shared Journeys curriculum and programming. All questions or concerns regarding students and the Shared Journeys program should be directed to her. Mrs.Hanson-Baisley has been teaching at Dottke for the past 14 years.  She has a regular education, alternative education and administrator license.  She is passionate about nurturing at-risk students so that they graduate and are prepared to live life on their own terms. 

 

 

Ms. Szalacinski is the child care provider for Shared Journeys. She started working in the West Allis/West Milwaukee School District through the West Allis Recreation and Community Services Department in 2014 as a summer playground supervisor and then became a building supervisor as well as an instructor for various classes. She also has been a volunteer in the elementary school, a lunchroom supervisor and classroom helper. She has earned her childcare provider and infant and toddler certifications and loves working with the staff, students and their children. She enjoys spending her free time sitting on her patio when the weather is nice, and spending time with her two children and family.
